A ready-made job

Ten realistic tasks per job, traps included. No AI needed to play.

Your job, with your own AI

Prepare the tasks for any job with the AI tool you already use: Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or another. It takes two minutes. And it’s already a good exercise: describing a task clearly to AI.

  1. Describe the job

The game turns this into a complete request.

    Number of tasks
  2. Put your AI to work

Copy the request, paste it into your AI tool and send it. The answer contains a list of tasks between curly braces { }.

    See the request
You are preparing a game for a workplace workshop, inspired by the in-basket exercise used in management training.

    Job: …
    Context: no further details

Invent 10 items that someone in this job finds in their in-basket on a Monday morning: emails, messages, requests, meetings, documents, reports. Each item is a real, specific and typical task for this job.

The team will put each task in one of these four bins:
    - keep: I keep it. The task needs my judgment, a relationship or trust.
    - augment: AI helps me. It writes a first draft, I correct it and decide.
    - automate: AI does it. The task is repetitive; AI handles it and I check now and then.
    - eliminate: Eliminate. Nobody should be doing this task.

    Rules:
    1. Spread the tasks roughly like this: 20% keep, 35% augment, 30% automate, 15% eliminate. At least one task per bin. Mix the order.
    2. Include traps, as in the real exercise: one task with personal or confidential information; one where the human relationship matters more than the text; one that looks important but is useless; one that needs an exact or recent number that AI could make up; two tasks that are linked to each other.
    3. Several tasks should be debatable: reasonable people could pick another bin.
    4. Write in plain Canadian English, with everyday words and short sentences. No jargon. No real company names. Vary the first names.

    For each task:
    - type: Email, Message, Request, Meeting, Document, Report or Call
    - from: who sends it (first name and role), or You
    - title: the subject line, 3 to 8 words
    - text: the message as it arrives, written by the sender, in 1 to 3 short sentences
    - frequency: Every day, Every week, Every month, A few times a year, Once a year or Rare
    - duration: how long it takes each time (e.g. 45 min, 2 h)
    - minutesPerMonth: a whole number, the average time per month
    - questions: 1 or 2 short questions specific to this task, to start the discussion
    - ai: the bin you would choose (pile) and why, in 1 or 2 simple sentences that say what a person still needs to check

Reply with JSON only, in this shape:
    {"tasks":[{"type":"…","from":"…","title":"…","text":"…","frequency":"…","duration":"…","minutesPerMonth":0,"questions":["…"],"ai":{"pile":"keep | augment | automate | eliminate","why":"…"}}]}
  3. Paste the answer here

Copy the whole answer, even the text around it: the game finds the tasks on its own.
