A 60-minute session

  1. 0 to 5 min

    Kick off

Introduce the four bins and the four questions. Say there’s no right answer: the goal is to agree.

  2. 5 to 40 min

    Sort

One task at a time, about three minutes each. Someone reads it out loud, the team discusses, then picks. Write the reasons down in "What we said".

  3. 40 to 50 min

    Review

Look at the big picture: how many tasks per bin, the time at stake, the disagreements with AI. Pick one or two tasks to try.

  4. 50 to 60 min

    Debrief

Use the debrief questions below. End with a concrete commitment for the week.

Your role

  • Keep the pace. If a task gets stuck, put it in "Talk it over" and move on.
  • Ask "why?" more often than "what?". The reasons matter more than the bin.
  • Bring disagreements out. They show what each person values.
  • Don’t give your own answer. If someone asks, turn the question back to the group.
  • Show the AI’s view after the choice, never before.

Debrief questions

  1. Which task sparked the most discussion? Why?
  2. Where did you disagree with AI? Who was right, in your view?
  3. What did you put in "I keep it"? What does that say about your work?
  4. Is there a task we should stop doing right now?
  5. What would we need to try one "AI helps me" task this week?

Variations

  • Your real tasks

Before the workshop, each person writes down five tasks from their week. Prepare them with your own AI, using the request on the Play page, then play with your real tasks.

  • Several teams

Give every table the same job. Then compare the results: the differences between tables start a great conversation.

  • Express version

Six tasks, 20 minutes. Perfect to open a training session or a team meeting.

  • Someone else’s job

Play with a job that isn’t yours. It’s easier to judge a task that doesn’t touch you, and the same habits carry over afterwards.

After the workshop

  • Copy the results and send them to the team.
  • Set a date to review the task you tried: what worked? What had to be fixed?
  • For a bigger idea, move on to the AI Canvas.
